Olympic hopeful and hometown hero Marcus Browne (Atlas Cops N Kids) was on center stage Friday night when the 178-pound open class debuted at the 2012 Daily News Golden Gloves before a robust and rowdy audience at Tottenville High School. The southpaw’s lightning-quick hands consumed challenger Rodney Carter (Morris Park BC) from the opening bell in their quarterfinal matchup, turning him into a human punching bag.
